Just wanted to say how impressed I was with the election of Ken Wyatt, Australia's first indigenous member of the house of reps. and what an intelligent and articulate man he seems to be.
It strikes me that his membership of the LNP is indicative of how inclusive this party can be, drawing from diverse backgrounds and opinions. Free to express their opinions in parliament without fear of recriminations from their own party.
Mean while the ALP are falling over themselves desperately trying to capture what they think is the middle ground so that they can cling to power.
