just a question Dag - it has always puzzled me how any non-qualified person could be held to be undertaking 'research'? for that would require critical reasoning on the part of a researcher well educated in the research topic?.....

for those who are not qualified in the research topic, I would like to know what, other than reading announcements and say, broker reports, they could possibly be pretending to do? - if you are not qualified then you cannot be accepted as being a 'researcher' - other than having an avid interest in everything publicly known about a company which is of course equally available to everyone else.....


and I'm not having a go at any particular poster with my enquiry - just that 'research' is so often referred to in HC posts that I'm wondering exactly how a non-qualified person with no inside information having only what's publicly available could possibly be held to be conducting 'research' - at least in any significant way....


on the other hand if you just mean some posters simply summarise and compare company information then fair enough - but it's hardly 'research'.....
