gj interested to know stats of how those trades play out where you are going for/against major trend, or doesn't it matter?
The more I get into this game the more I realise the big players (I mean the pros) rarely trade breakouts, they usually wait for backtest and resumption of trends. A weekly program I subscribe to discussed the other day that something like 70% of breakouts fail. The person did say, however, that very good breakout traders can successfully trade them, but a myriad of other confirming factors like laps and gaps and volume and yada yada, but far more complex than the usual draw a line across three tops and if it goes above that's a "breakout".
