Yes, this may be true generally, but the reports we received over that last week stated there was unexpectedly higher formation pressure in the Lower Angwa as they drilled the last few 100m to TD, which meant the well was approaching "on balance". That would bean less chance of diff sticking in the Lower Angwa and the permeabilities should be lower compared to the UA, therefore, in theory, reduced mud losses happening. Of course, if the well was vertical rather than 12 degrees, there would be less risk of diff sticking further up in the permeable zones.
