They're running the MDT on drill pipe (TLC) so pulling the tool after only sampling one station would involve burning some serious rig time. With TLC running the tool in and out of the hole is basically a trip in and out of the hole with a drill string.....time would be roughly 12 hours each way.

If the tool is working and the hole is behaving you'd sample as many stations as you can using all the sample bottles and chambers you have loaded. The only reason you'd pull the tool prematurely is in the case of tool failure or indications of serious hole deterioration.
