Hi Selmax,
DJIA has a psychological values at 100, 1,000, 10,000 near which fluctuations last 20 years something IMO.
If you plot DJIA in the log-scale, you will see the fluctuations and exponential growth epoch clearly.
Fluctuations near 10000 started from 1999 and may end 10 year later before DJAI starts growing exponentially toward 100,000. In such fluctuation epoch near 10,000, buy and hold strategy doesn't work.
I think your style/strategy more likely becomes a winner.
