Just taking a look on the web, it appears that the creep provisions allow for 3% per half year, not per annum as I had thought. The recent purchases of Tata that have occurred over the last 6 months amount to around 1.9%.
I guess the market view was that the increasing stake of Tata may be a deterrent to other major shareholders since the price dropped by 43cents today. But who knows...with RIV the price swings are very large depending on the mood of brokers/traders. This is a long term buy and just ride the swings IMHO.
