Yes the lamb contracts are over and the new market now takes overthrew is always a lag after markets drop for that reason I saw the Coles buyer being more active at our local market recently , something I have not seen for a while. As for beef remember that more than 50% of cattle presented for processing at works across Australia everyday come out of a feedlot. and that has been subject to contracts as well . regardless of that if the resulting product is worth more on the export market that is where it will go.Anyone who wants to import meat from NZ or any other qualified source can go for your life ..not sure if it will pay though
