Interesting post GeoGpsy. Your comment about the target being a "laterally discontinuous sand" is certainly a risk worth highlighting. From my limited understanding isn't this a common occurrence within successfully producing fields? It's also worth mentioning that the 2nd (unsuccessful) well was a target drilled over 25 years ago. Certainly with advancements in technology their chances of success would significantly improve? The most recent well (drilled only 2 years ago) experienced a controlled blow out of oil and gas to the surface.
Nevertheless if this was a guaranteed producer the SP would be at 70c+ already or would probably be a company held in private hands.
BTW I notice you are holding GGP (albeit with less risk as they are involved in several other projects) so your opinion does have interest attached however with less bearish comments on the other thread. I look forward to further comments after the next update.
