As an example, if you own 1,000 shares you will receive $940 (1,000 x 0.94) and franking credits of $225.60 rather than the usual $402.86 if the whole divided was fully franked.
My calculations are (and I am not an accountant and not offering financial advice) are as follows:
The fully franked part is:
1,000 x 0.5264 = $526.50 dividend. Franking credit is $225.60
Franking credit is worked out using 526.5 x .42857142857
Unfranked part is:
1,000 x 0.4136 = 413.60. This you will have to pay tax on this portion when you do your tax return in the new financial year.
I had unfranked dividends from other companies last year and owed the tax man when I did my taxes. I have until the end of March 2024 to pay the bill.
Hope this helps.
