    Well, this is exactly what I and many others have been calling for. In fact I think if you go back not even a week you'll see where I said I'd like to see exactly this.

    Not sure why everybody is so against it - it's really the only logical choice available to JH. He can't monetise the helium, gas or coal reserves without a major influx of capital from either a JV partner or a large cap raising, neither of which are going to happen when CTP's share price is the laughingstock of the ASX.

    Yes, it's a gamble. But IMHO if CTP kept going the way it was going, it would be finished because it doesn't have the money or the market to develop its other commodities. Oil is the only hope.

    Personally I'd rather JH take the gamble now rather than drag it out for another 5+ years just to end up with the same result.

    So good on you JH, this is a positive move and in this shareholder's opinion at least, great news.

    I'd be interested to know from those critical of the decision exactly what they'd do instead. Because I just can't think of a better resource to focus on than oil.
