Why is there a delay in the shorts data?
Shorts can be good. Shorts are charged interest on the borrowed amount and can't borrow them forever. They need to be returned and if a Margin Call is issued they must buy them back regardless of price. It's a very risky game the shorts play, the odds are generally stacked against them and it takes an all in, multi prong effort to make it work.
remember the shorts haven't won yet as they still need to cover off and buy 100M units on the market.
