People are drawing parallels with MK1 - namely, that they were unable to get a sample - but the context this time is completely different.
This afternoon, I was listening to this.
SM goes into great detail about what the problems were last time, and what measures they were taking to avoid a repeat.
Last time the hole was shot, so they couldn't get a sample. This time, the tool itself unfortunately broke. Just bad luck.
