Russians fought against Hitler and nazism. They won. That's an undeniable fact. Auschwitz was liberated by them (among a few other nations that were a part of the USSR army). The USSR government had plenty of jews in it. Many of them driving the repressions.
"...Hitler and Stalin were as bad as each other.." You should bring in a few other names of other leaders who were doing business with the nazis almost all throughout the war, enabling nazis to commit all their atrocities, Holocaust included.
"...But now you're comparing 1940s to the present context which is dishonest of you..." It's not dishonest. It's just that you don't like the example, as it doesn't fit into your narrative.
"..."Iron Cross decorations" gimmick is disingenuous.." How is it a gimmick? It's a fact. According to some reports, the number of jews in Hitler's army was as high as 150,000. Some witth Hitler's explicit consent. Dozens of them of them high-ranking officers. Generals, liutenant-generals, major generals, colonels, field-marshals. All signed off on by Hitler himself.
It's not as black and white as you're trying to present. That's all.
