`Personally I like to open it up and add fresh tomatoes direct from my garden. I also like to open it up with half the filling on each half of the pastry and eat it with a knife and fork. In effect I do both. I open it up and then put the tomatoes (or sauce) on top.
There is a pie shop right beside the gym I use twice a week. I leave there with a meat pie and an apple pie with cream after each visit.
