Dear Fatt, Axel was knifed by Hopper and Leslie. They marshalled the votes; Axel was a thorn in their side; brutally critical of Hopper's performance, and possibly somewhat intemperate towards Leslie. There may have been an element of strong Germanic arrogance in his dealings with his fellow directors; I do doubt that he was always collegiate. As we were not in the room, we will never know what went down, but in the world of oncology immunotherapy he is one of the greatest to date, and certainly is not the type to be a patsy for Hopper, even for 30 shekels! Back to bed....
