They did fess up quickly once the problem was recognised and then got going with the etching mask problem, with a fair deal of honesty in saying that this is going to take awhile last time Jock, causing a fleeing of LTH's as a result.
So my read is that, Dave, just being with the powers to be at IMEC, would have stated by now if their intentions were to carry on with developments and extend the contract with IMEC, there is ample cash to do so, so why not get straight on with it if that was their option. IMEC have indicated that it is important for them to finish this project successfully for 4DS($DS) as a priority client.
It's in IMECs, Stanfords and 4DS's best interest to get this going and done asap if they were needing to do more. A rolling stone gathers no....
Also we have had no word of any such problem or problems from initial and furthering test done with both IMEC and the 4DS team in Silicon Valley, no word at all. If there was a problem they are deemed by law to inform holders of such occurrences.
Im not sure if you have picked up on the past comments from posters who were at previous AGM's with DrWilbert, but he and Digby both stated that the door has been knocked on, unsolicited, interested parties for some time now.
If this is saving power alone as a quality plus everything else its PROVING to be, all mainframe AI to main stream tech companies will be interested on that alone, one would surmise.
Cup half full is being careful also. Its always a gamble this little penny up start and it always has been. Exciting isn't it !!!
