Ann: Goodyear announces Dunlop strategic review, page-6

In hindsight it does seem a little strange that Goodyear handed distribution to NTD for just the Dunlop brand (I mean the logistics on the goodyear side must be similar to NTD so the cost marginal), but my initial thinking was that perhaps NTD had broader distribution channels compared to Goodyear (?!?).

I don't see similar deals being struck in other locations (i.e that they have been separating Dunlop from the core business), so not sure this ANZ deal was done in anticipation/preparation for this review, but reading the announcement that CaptainBarnacles posted above, this is a global change, so unless there is a global buyer with a complimentary presence in Oz too, I can't see any motivation for them reverse this arrangement struck with NTD.....then again all depends on who the buyer is, and I'm not sure that they will any the wiser by 3Q24, but perhaps Goodyear will agree to provide certainty to NTD for them to invest in the dunlop transition which is in play as we speak.
