The natives say the pipe line can be laid if it’s done under native supervision so then it won’t affect their mythical beliefs. That’s a hypocritical complete 360 from the cultural damage the pipe line would cause so if it’s laid by Santos the sacred rain bow serpents would be sent scared off but if the natives are there to supervise there would not be a problem. Of course a suitable expiation payment would need to be settled for their participation.
The native cultural heritage stuff is pure black mail, any payments they get should be declared and assessed against their centre link payments,
