Not sure everyone here will get the reference, but 2ic gives absolute vibes of Frank Grimes, the character from The Simpsons.

A very well prepared, intelligent person that, due to its personality and lack of charisma, never made it big in the corporate world. Promotions always given to someone around you that you think is less valid. Success always dodging you, in spite of you being the smartest out there. And you grow bitter and hold a grudge.

Well, turns out, it takes a bit of realisation to figure out that being the smartest won’t take you to the top. Reading the game, understanding it and playing it will. Really efficient workers don’t get promotions, they only get more work (and this is something that anyone that understands this game can confirm). So even if you are a better geo than Dean (or so you think), the fact is that he is leading a exploration company that is doing quite well in spite of recent times with exciting opportunities ahead. He has charisma, and can convince people to back his ideas up. You, on the other hand, have created an online persona to spit your venom before it poisons you.
