In the early days of oil and gas exploration you could do anything you like without fear of repercussions. These days explorers are required to follow strict regulations and guidelines backed by legislation. Australian listed explorers are required to follow reporting rules set down by the ASX....there are no choices in this matter. If IVZ was able to declare a discovery without recovering a fluid sample to surface I'd be all for it....but it can't.

The difference between Huaneng and myself is that Huaneng lives in a fantasy world where a company can simply ignore the rules and regulations imposed by regulatory bodies like the ASX and do what it likes....while I live in the real world where keeping the ASX and other regulatory bodies on side and happy is the reality.
