"I had a 1926 Chev when I was a youngster in the 50's -I should have hung on to that would have suited you down to the ground."

You and I are a lot alike me thinks.

A mate and I had a Dodge Brothers cut down ute of about the same age.
We had a four X label on the windscreen as a rego sticker.
We went heaps of places in it, on public roads, and never got challenged by the law, but in those days out in the sticks you never saw the whallopers much, and if you did they would laugh and tell you to get home.

Personally I would never own a Chev as I am a Ford man. Still drive a 2003 Falcon which still has a lot of fossil fuel to run through it's pipes. lol

" You need to put yourself on the mailing list of a few newsletters on the EV boom "

Maybe you need to follow a few of the anti EV newsletters.
EV's are already on the down turn with sales heading south big time as people wake up that they are a disaster for the average person.
All the BS about sales led mainly by the Chinese falsified figures is coming home to roost.

I will tell you a story about a share that I once owned - but then I may have to kill you. lol

I once bought heavily into a gold stock called Gympie Gold.
It was just up the road from where I live in Brisbane and, as I am sure you know, was a very rich gold area in previous times.

So as not to have to dilute holders on a regular basis they decided to also buy a producing coal mine, I think it was in the Hunter area of NSW.
Beautiful idea I thought, and it was for a time.
But good old Murphy was watching and decided that the coal mine should catch fire. ( He can be a real prick that Murphy.)
They reckoned that they could put it out but they couldn't and the company was f#% ed.

This will happen with batteries under ground as sure as God made little green apples.
If it happens once it may be brushed over, but if it happens twice it will be the end for batteries underground.

Electric cars are almost impossible to get insurance for at any price that the average person can afford.
They are being written off at an alarming rate as they are so expensive to repair and they have to have so many special conditions placed on them while being stored awaiting repair.
They can burst into flames two weeks after any damage to the battery.

Depreciation is unbelievable, and this may not worry the wealthy who are virtue signalling, but it sure as hell worries the average pleb who does not want to see their new car go from $100,000 to $45,000 in six months.

I could go on for pages, but I don't want to bore anyone, so I will stop here.

I support ICG in it's quest for the wonder metal but I do not believe the hype about EV's.
