Not announcing a discovery after getting the gas to surface would be like our cricket team saying we want a replay of the world cup final because we wanted to win 8 wickets and not 6 wickets
We're a junior explorer in a bear market, we need to drive home every morsel of good news to keep SP afloat. I don't see why we didn't announce something like - "Gas discovery confirms moveable hydrocarbons with primary targets to be tested shortly"
