I am not questioning Joel's right to feel enthusiastic. And I even said his response is always seems pumped and reasonable.

I am questioning more on Rusty's post, he makes it seems like Joel feels exceptionally pumped this time compared to the others times. So maybe he can enlighten us in that regard??

Other than that, as you said it is his job to be enthusiastic about the company. So should we take a step back and take it as a pinch of salt?
