They had already too many targets before switching to a new one. Way too ambitious for either market cap or more pertinently cash in hand.
The prime beneficiary in the end might be Endeavour, which I would not touch with a ten pole, or possibly Allied, a new comer, on the prowl for WA assets. Ivory Coast is not a tier 1 jurisdiction, it is only slightly better than Burkina, Mali, or Niger but very much in the thick of the current Western African turmoil and their protector, France in the midst of beating a hasty retreat. Anyway watch for the coming dilution which will trim the euphoria of the announcement.
