Ann: Hydrocarbon gas recovered & evaluation program forward plan, page-1149

I'm still struggling with the Pebbly Arkose MDT sample. Maybe its just me???

- Announcement header reads "Hydrocarbon Gas recovered....."
- Announcement mentions that the _intention_ was take a water sample in a zone where log analysis indicates residual gas but gas was recovered from the MDT sample chamber when water was expected.
- Nowhere in the announcement is there a clear statement that water was recovered in the MDT sample chamber
- IVZ have gone to great lengths to include a picture of some gas bladders and the chamber being blown down and a chromatograph analysis of the gas but if there was water recovered where are the pictures of same and the resistivity measurement done on the water sample? Resistivity of any water recovered is just as important as a chromatograph analysis on a gas recovery.
- if gas and water were recovered from the chamber then this should be clearly stated in the announcement.
- if both gas and water were recovered from the chamber how does this meet the requirements for declaring a discovery? Unless sample was taken right on a gas water contact it strongly indicates to me that interpretation of the PA as wet with residual gas as per initial log interpretation is correct. The high % of C1 in the gas analysis further supports my thinking on this.
