At least Alex Greenwich, the architect of the legislation, was honest enough to admit that the legal validity of the proposed legislation is at the heart of the issue. It was also pleasing to hear unambiguously that proper process will be followed by the JA and that the NOPTA process will have concluded before the proposed NSW legislation goes to a vote. The two matters are mutually exclusive so I take comfort that Courtney Houssos is acutely aware of that. The repeated references to not being like Scott Morrison were also comforting. Looks like we are in for a Merry Christmas. JMO. GLTAH.
