Does anybody know if the so-called "Apex rule" that is established in U.S. mining also applies in Australian mining precedents? (the Apex rule stipulates that if a mining lease has an outcropping, that lessee has the right to mine the lode even if it continues sub-surface into a neighbouring tenement).
