I’m in Paris right now and have stopped to look at property in each of the arrondissements I have visited and I’ve pretty much covered them all. No I’m not interested in living here but I’m always curious

French salaries are generally lower and in Paris property is expensive for much less than you’d get in an Australian city. I’ll be checking out other places as I travel.

the same in UK where I was just over a week ago.

homelessness exists in cities around the world. Poverty and beggars. To make commentary as if it exists only in australia is facile and ill informed

there are different policies in play and housing is very different here with many long term rentals.

on the matter of French IR policies. It appears that french sick leave is considerably less favourable than that in australia. Despite all we hear about the French way of life there isn’t a lot of encouragement to take time off if you are unwell. Now that’s crazy.

I guess though if one is looking to be critical it’s possible to find something to criticise
