Seriously, I need to step back a bit from HC (I really need better time management) but I must reply to, or note, a couple of posters here ...

    • Davy, I have stated before, your recent summary of the ‘pre-print’ article is a gem. You consistently put great effort and analysis into your posts, making you one of the most valuable contributors here. Some of the articles you find and share, have proved of great value to someone like me, who struggles to ‘manage’ spare time more often than I would like to admit.

    • Footmax, I also appreciate your regular ‘world market’ updates. It is very generous of you to share like you do.

    • Shakey1, I haven’t seen you around much on these threads, but note you had an interest in Viralytics, as I did. I will now chase up the article you identified in The Lancet, it could be very revealing, so thank you.

    • Owl, I very much agree, the pre-print article does clarify why some of the IMU twists and turns have come into play.

Your 3 points, on why the Her-Vaxx Ph1/2 trials have an Asian focus, are ‘spot on’ also. Punters here should take note.

Yes, last weekend’s wedding was wonderful in every way. The ceremony was outdoors in a magnificent park, and the perfect weather was a blessing.

    • O&E, I love the photo you posted. It did give me a laugh. Also appreciate your posts greatly, you have great expertise and you are happy to share.

    • Ben, F-Choi, Jov, Zior, Slick, Anyday, godiva and T-Bull are always a good read, but obviously for different reasons. So, a big thanks.

    ----

Posters have already seen my messages calling for calm and caution regarding the upcoming AGM. As several others here have pointed out, we may well be on the verge of changing medical practice in a huge way. This is NOT the time to re-arrange an amazing team. Certainly, ask the hard questions, as you should, but don’t let your disappointment in the current SP completely colour your views. As we know it is the science that will have the final say, so let’s give it a ‘fair chance to speak’.

Side note: I am invested in a very small bio-tech, obviously I won’t mention its code, where the science is very exciting. It is an area where I do have ‘some background’. It is run by a tiny team, that does not have the benefit of the visionary leadership we have here in IMU. Because of this alone, it will struggle to succeed, even though the potential of its science is amazing.

I am just saying, consider your votes very carefully, and make an informed decision around the ‘big picture’.

I’ll get off my soapbox now and get back to my work. Have a great weekend everyone. I, for one, am much looking forward to an announcement around PD1-Vax.

As always, just the opinion of one poster
