Yeh, DLE has a place given the right technical and economic context.

SQM has being doing in-house development of its own DLE approach but recently acquired a 20% stake in French DLE company, Adionics.

I had a discussion with mozza01, where we compared Adionic’s products’ maturity and scale against Lilac’s, supposed, 40tpa plant. I concluded that Lilac’s was pre-industrial in comparison.

With SQM’s size and knowledge, them buying into Adionics is a smart move. They get a % of Adionics action if successful. Unlike LKE who won’t benefit if Lilac’s tech works elsewhere in a different context to Kachi.

Having said that, others have tried Lilacs’s tech in other contexts but have not continued.
Why is that .. technical … commercial… ???

Perhaps LKE should’ve had a better pre-nuptial agreement with Lilac.
