I think that traditional low rate revolving credit can be profitable and that ZIP is getting ahead of regulation for the BNPL product (which might become more difficult to scale... or not). My best guess is that for investors, the letters BNPL are a bit of a four letter word and that evolving the product into revolving credit is probably better and the company will say those letters less often.
