Afternoon scarfo, yep i would go along with that assumption you made. My own personal view is that any OEM is only going to use the hearing tech component and nothing else. You can licence the hearing compnent elsewhere at 0.50 cents USD a board for 50,000 plus units, so i cant quite see where the company break even deals are going to come from that trickster refers to. To give you an idea, the bluetooth SIG fee licence fee per board is 4.5 USD , the main driving chipset is around 9-13 usd depending on which one you choose, so there are no huge fees coming Nuhearas way that I can see, unless they are running 1 million units plus a month.
What did they spend 4 million on with realtek is the question really, until we find out, no one really knows for sure.
