Mr Learner, you certainly seem to be a fighter. Well done.

Your question is not as straightforward as it seems. There are so many variables at play here (smoker vs non-smoker, etc), along the different side-effects you may expect to see with the use of different chemotreatments. And there are many, many different treatments.

Chemo chases down and kills fast-growing cells (like cancer cells). It also kills healthy cells. I’m confident that your care team explained this to you prior to your treatment. Several of the chemo ‘combo’ treatments leave you less vulnerable, so your body may return to its previous function fairly quickly. You say you are still receiving chemo, so you may be in a different position.

Obviously different parts of your system will be impacted differently, and some may not recover as well as others. Check with your medical team, as they can clarify this for you.

Note: Many IMU patients, in several of the trials, have previously been heavily treated with chemo (ie. many rounds) ... and have achieved very positive results, which include stimulation of the immune system.
Who knows, IMU may provide many positive outcomes for those who have already received considerable doses of chemo. We can only hope.
    Good luck Mr L.
