Doubt very much they or anyone will be able to sell to China a condition of Lynas’s govt loan (it’s mentioned in the 60 minutes report) for their processing plant was that they develop and fully process rare earths here. If finished products thst comprise rare earths are made here I don’t think that’s a problem but the whole point of the govt support is part of a long term strategic decision to not be at the mercy of Chinese pressure and to deny them the ability to cripple the world by cutting off the rare earths supply when it suits in order to further their strategic or militaristic expansionist goals.
