Yep. Most definitely @Duke2.
Some may remember that I posted about not saying anything during the trial for obvious reasons.
But I can now say that about 4-6 weeks after my last jab, I noticed less pain at night in both my knees - they're both Grade 4. I had to pick one for the trial and my left was marginally worse, so I went with that.
Going downstairs was particularly painful prior to the trial but that is where I also noticed a big difference. Pain was almost absent after the trial.
Now obviously the placebo effect is quite real, as has been written on here many times and so during the trial you are always cautious, sometimes even second-guessing yourself.
However, there is no way I could ignore that things were definitely different for me. I had better sleep, which was suggested as maybe a result of being in less pain.
I visited one of my daughters in England in April and went on a number of hikes, which previously would have been out of the question. Still felt far better but I started to notice a bit of pain creeping back in. Looking back, I think that was the beginning of the end of the duration effect for me. That was 11 months since my first dose.
I'm now starting to feel pain again on a more regular basis and ironically, it's this reversal that has reinforced the fact that something had changed for the better during the second half of last year and the first few months of this year. I'm incredibly grateful for those 11 months though.
Now I've been annoyed like many of you about the issues with the company which have been well documented. I'm still apprehensive about some of the timelines and the commitment from management but the one thing that is an overwhelming positive for me is the experience I have had with our wonder drug.
As many of you have said, the science is great. Well I think it's more than great, it's unbloody believable. Others on here that have experienced the drug have all said much the same.
I know it's still a big if but if the company can get the approvals, funding and deals over the line then it'll be no looking back.
I've been buying recently and would buy more if I could, as I'm more than happy with my assessment of the risk and rewards and my exposure to that.
Stay positive!
