IT since 1995 + IT degree before, memorex telex, 3com, computer associates, f5 networks, then o2 networks that sold to telstra for $60mill bucks in 2012. O2 was $1mill a week of consulting services based and selling product from 20 different vendors from silicon valley. I have spent months in conference rooms listening to product updates including down to the memory board. Now, I invest in tech start ups, usually around 10% max and help out when required. In the last 3 years, i have turned 3 bankrupt startups around into very good companies now. Each one from zero to 50-150m range. Personally I don't get too deep into the tech, just what problem does it solve and then find a home for it. I have another one on the go atm that delves into the nano meter sphere, we can actually stitch synthetic dna together, and tune it to find a target molecule and when it does it folds...nearly as freaky as 4ds.
