Does the total media blackout within Mali on Morilla not indicate the junta are up to dodgy s__t?
There is no media whatever on one of the biggest projects in Malian economic history being in limbo for an entire year. The junta must have made it clear it's off limits to reporting.
They want it to go to Wagner, and they want us to pay tens of millions for the honour of giving it to them.
We had a legit buyer in February (albeit for $1). The project would be in full swing by now under it's new owners if the Gov hadn't had ulterior motives.
Not much the BoD can do in that situation. What would you do differently?
Unfortunately our Dept of Foreign Affairs are useless in Africa, in fact worse than useless, an actual detriment in most cases. So no help to be had their unfortunately.
7 months to go....I really think the only option the BoD have is to approach the asx again with the extraordinary circumstances and a distribution plan to shareholders so they can shut up shop earlier and return cash.
All IMHOO.
edit: Thought your post was from today Pharrell13. Oh well. Trying my best not to start futile arguments over things we can't control. Sometimes I manage it, sometimes not. Haha
