Maybe it became apparent that there are widely differing pressure zones at different depths in LA (or doesn't it work like that?) so rather than stuff around for yonks trying to wrap their heads around this finding they settled for a sample in UA or just verging on LA (possible?).
If they have managed to somehow snatch a sample from the upper reaches of the LA that could be exciting stuff eh?
Possible big phat bottle of light oil...the euphoria was such that they had no choice but to abandon work for a time and call a TH...anything is possible this is wildcat drilling isn't it?
