Before the finances stack up here they're going to stack up at expanding existing production, then recommissioning Windimurra, then either the QLD projects that have vanadium as just a side credit to their main income, or the similar USA projects, or even the AVL/TMT project...or maybe....

Getting the picture?

Nobody needs to spend a gazillion dollars on this project to get a vanadium supply. It comes much cheaper and much easier elsewhere. Sure maybe the opex is lower - but nobody wants to spend 2 billion dollars on ensuring cheap vanadium when they can get it cheap enough at much less than half the capex - and vanadium isn't an important enough component of steel to warrant the extra spend to anyone. Even the steel conglomerates haven't bothered.

That's why TVN is precisely nowhere after more than a decade.
