The answer to this is very easy Labor has always been against detention - the high court judgement, which applied to one person only, gave them the excuse to release all detainees (the people who came by boat under Rudd/Bowen). They have been waiting for years to have this chance for them to try and erase their despicable history on lack of border protection. Only thing is it has all now backfired on them with Australians being harmed - and no doubt more to be harmed in the future whilst these illegal, non-citizen criminals walk free. This lot they have let out is garbage their own countries won't take back and now we are stuck with this garbage with taxpayers paying their motel, food, clothing and travel bills with all the largess of the Australian welfare system (whilst Australian citizens starve on the street living in their cars or tents in parks) Labor does not care about Australians safety - look at how they have ramped up antisemitism by not having police action against HAMAS supporters in Australia openly chanting gas the Jews, kill the Jews, from the river to the sea at numerous protests

Question: How does letting these people into our society (at the demand of the high-court) erase their history on border protection? In reality it has the opposite effect - now these people are walking among us I think you might just be grouping things you dont like about ALP but I cannot see the logic
