of course the actual book value of the asset is depreciated over a longer period
if the asset value goes from 800 to 700 dollars in year 10 it is meaningless to the profit statement
the whole thread is about the profit
i was saying that 15 % of the Assets on the balance sheet were depreciated this 1/2, which account to 3 to 3.5 years to depreaciate the balance sheet assets at this rate
nobody cares on the theoretical balance sheet life of the machine, read todays news, they going to refit them and redeploy them
the poster was asking why the profit was so low,
