I really like Ray Dalio's "Holy grail" approach as an over-arching macro level on risk management, he goes into detail on how pools of low-correlated assets that have sub zero to sub- 0.1 correlation can exponentially reduce a Portolio's expected maximum DD, with the effectiveness of it tapering out at 15-16 or so diversified assets. The video on it should be on YT still, a mandatory watch for anyone looking to invest sensibly into anything really with a long term horizon.
