if I had 10,000 shares I would've just sold them on market, and someone with 10,000 shares has as much of a right to vote, be happy, be upset etc. as anyone else, providing they don't have $500 in TMT and however many $100,000s of thousands in AVL, or equal holdings either side like RCF do., as these people cannot evaluate the deal fairly.
