Only about 1 in 1000 resource discoveries go on to become a mine. I agree, and it's not always because of failure to, Imo this is where some of the big miners come into play. They just wait it out for some juniors (not all) to take all the risks by proving the project up and continually rattling the tin time and time again until investors have had enough and there's no more rattle. Then it's picked up for peanuts. In saying that I think AEV aren't going to be one of those as it's pretty clear to me that global demand will play a big roll in that. That's why I'm interested.
But just looking at RareX, They look pretty promising to, no doubt about it. But I see they also signed an Offtake MOU recently on the 9th Nov, only to see their share price since then has continued to drift lower. Growler, what would your rough guess be in terms of where they are at this stage in generally speaking, life cycle of a mine. They are past the confirmed deposit stage by the look of it. But what about this development stage or development investment stage I should say that I know it can take years.
It's no surprise to me that the share price has pulled back somewhat. Just a rough guess but Imo I could imagine it's possible that there would also be some existing investors that didn't necessarily want to increase their holdings but still felt the need to support the company, so even selling back down to 1.1c they would still recover their outlay all whilst supporting the company at the same time. Not saying it would happen but if it did I would not be surprised.
For me though (sitting on the sidelines still atm) I'm more interested in what stage they are at. I'm happy to pay a little more for the stock if the time is right. I can appreciate some would say the time is now, but more contrarian views are also appreciated.
