Hi to all BPH holders.
I Invested in BPH at the begging of this year after realising the opportunity for energy supply to Australia and the approval of PEP11 for gas supply.
It's an economical opportunity for Australia for next 20 years. Cheaper fuel and added energy supply to help get to net 0 by 2040 2050.
What's going to happen? and when?
Currently cop28 climate world summit is on in Saudi Arabia. All countries including Aus and our climate cabinet minister Bowen is attending. He gave a parliamentary address and speech on climate change approx 2 days ago in cabinet and addressed Aus is becoming a leader in cleaner energy. He is currently in Saudi Arabia discussing these issues for a cleaner world energy supply and future targeted time frames and means of supplying energy.
There are many sides to the options on how we supply clean energy to the world and move forward.
I believe a decision on PEP11 will be given on his return in next few days to weeks.
Its really a choice of how the best way to move forward and most efficient way to get to net 0. The summit news I have read and headline is we have had the warmest year globally on record.
Maybe it's time for countries to take turns in supplying fossils fuels, and a segmented alternating usage agreement put it place. As the supply cannot be just cut off at once from all countries.
Certain countries turning off the tap and minamising the output of fossil fuel consumption on an annual basis.
Getting back to Bowen,.he mentioned in his cabinet address Aus has improved our efforts from 20 % up to 43% over recent years in cleaner energy supply.
Critical Minerals sector is helping this with sustainable supplies Wind solar electrical etc.
look at this chart below we are low on emissions! Bowen mentions we need to do more!. How do we do more.? Whats way forward?
Getting back to PEP11, this gas does increase our emissions, however it can supply the energy needed to transition into better renewable supplies. Our efforts are great as a country in lowering emissions, we have done a great Job and fought to get the energy sector cleaner and greater, and at great cost to all Aussies lifestyle and our economy.
We have made cuts in every aspect of our lifes to get cleaner, cole and gas shutting down everywhere around Aus. While investment in critical minerals and carbon neutral sources wind solar and electrical have increased.
Are we in need of more gas supply, are we low enough on our percentages of output of emissions. Is 43% enough to suffice for now on our way to targeted clean energy supply.
It's a decision the minister's and cabinet of Australian parliament are in processing making.
What's best way forward and how do we energise Australia and the World.? Are our emissions low enough and globally accepted to take on another gas project, and most importantly do it clean. Do we have enough time to turn off the fossil fuel tap slowly and progressively, as a world united in aggreement. (What gives certain countries the right to have 10 to 50 times more output than other countries)
It's a very complex debate. I believe Australia has done enough and is a position to approve PEP11, what does world think?
