JWs and blood, page-17

This blood transfusion belief is an ordinance you must accept regardless of what you yourself know to be true, or believe to be true, because somebody in your church's history who was no more understanding than yourself, concocted an association of blood transfusions being the same as eating blood, it then entered the canon of belief of your religion and now it is a rusted on belief that causes unnecessary death and suffering.

Blood eaten would be destroyed in the bodies digestive system.

Blood transfused remains intact, alive and gives life. There are many ordinances in the Bible about the sanctity of life to the extent that it is life that is sacred to God, not blood and if living blood can be infused venally to support the life of another human then this is even more sacred to God.

There are no scriptures that deal with the transfusion of blood in any way. A small child knows the difference between eating and transfusing.

Hundreds of millions of human beings exist because of blood transfusions and thousands of JWs have died because somebody thought they knew the mind of God derived from scriptures they say nothing about the exchange of live blood to save the life of a fellow human.

I have often wondered if the JW leaders were looking for a way of producing martyrs and the blood rule was just what they needed.

The blood transfusion rule is just one more example of religion being out of touch with both reality and the Bible.
