If [Chief of the General Staff General Valery] Gerasimov can keep destroying the fascists riding NATO junk at the current rate of a battalion per day and gain ground doing it, everyone is happy.
Putin has the presidential election in March, and the success of the Russian military offensive in the Ukraine by then too.
