Ann: Gas Flow from Permeable Zone Provides Unexpected Upside, page-244

Any drilling gurus know approx how long it would take to circulate gas out of the borehole and displace the well bore to heavier weight fluid, thus stopping the gas influx? Trying to understand over what timeframe the approx 50,000 cu ft of gas flowed out of the formation, ie. what daily rate could it imply? I’m guessing it’s a couple hours operation but maybe it’s less. Also, depending on thickness, it could be only the first part of the permeable formation that is flowing, ie. more section drilled after/as well is weighted up…
