I've stuck my head in to see where things are at here. I agree with the above sentiments. Ridley is in a slow and steady position, and I don't see too much changing that. Ridley 3.5years ago was a different growth story.

Meanwhile some of my current investments are a rollercoaster and currently at the bottom of the ride! :-( So me choosing to divest from RIC hasn't been a smart move.

For what it is worth as somebody who is continuously watching and involved in the animal feed market, Ridley seems to have it's shit together. It is a tough market for Ridley. Ridley has vertically integrated competitors on one side and small backyard producers on the other side. So it has some tough competition. But on the flipside, there is no other company that is playing the same game as Ridley. AKA a broad spectrum nation wide feed producer.

Bulk feeds is likely to stay competitive and low margin. Prawn feed I've long believed is a minor revenue earner despite the promotion. Specialty animal feed such as pet food still has plenty of margin for the players who want to do it properly. Ridley is involved and staying involved.
